Water Damage

Structural Drying

Getting the standing water out is only half the job. Water hides in wall cavities, under floors, and inside framing, and if it is not dried out properly it feeds mold and rot. We set a drying plan and monitor it daily until the structure is verifiably dry.

What the job involves

  • Commercial air movers and dehumidifiers
  • Daily moisture monitoring and logs
  • Drying inside wall cavities and under floors
  • Specialty drying for hardwood and hard-to-reach areas
  • Documentation for your insurance claim
  • Verification the structure is dry before rebuild

Why All Star

  • IICRC-certified technicians
  • NY State mold license
  • 15+ years of experience across NYC and Long Island
  • Rated 5.0 across 50+ Google reviews

What To Expect

How the structural drying process works

We set a drying plan sized to the space, place air movers and dehumidifiers, and take moisture readings every day until the numbers hit a dry baseline. Most jobs run three to five days depending on how much water was absorbed and the materials involved. You will see the equipment running the whole time; that is the moisture leaving the structure.

Questions

Answers before you call

How long does structural drying take?

Most jobs run three to five days depending on how much water was absorbed and the materials involved. We monitor daily and stop only when readings confirm it is dry.

Why not just open windows and use a fan?

Household fans move air but do not pull moisture out of the structure. Professional dehumidifiers and air movers dry the cavity, which is where the real damage and mold risk sit.

Can I turn the equipment off at night?

Please leave it running. Drying is continuous, and shutting it off stretches the job out and risks mold taking hold.

How do you prove it is actually dry?

We log daily moisture readings and compare them to a dry standard, and we stop only when the numbers confirm the structure is dry, which also documents it for your insurer.

Your property. Our priority.

Water, fire, mold, or sewage, one call starts the recovery. We show up fast and we do not leave until it is done right.
